Appointed in July 2007, Scott brings more than ten years of expertise in social-marketing and managing public relations to IN THE LIFE. Prior to joining In The Life Media, he worked for The L.A. Gay & Lesbian Center's AIDS/LifeCycle event, and was an event-planning consultant. Scott began his career in the San Francisco Bay Area, at The NAMES Project Foundation (The AIDS Memorial Quilt), where he created and produced "The Historically Black Colleges and Universities Initiative." He was a 2000 award recipient from The Academy of Television Arts & Sciences for outstanding work in the field of AIDS, and continues to lend support as a volunteer to various New York City based advocacy groups and organizations.
