Dear Programmer:

 

As a longtime member of your viewing audience, my reason for writing you is two-fold. First, I want to thank you for the programming you provide. With so many worthwhile programs available, I recognize (and appreciate) the responsibility you assume in developing programming.

 

That being said, I know that you also rely on support and recommendations from your viewers. As one of them, I want to point out a very educational program that, unfortunately, is not part of your regular program schedule.

 

IN THE LIFE is the television series documenting the lives and issues shaping the gay experience. From its beginning in 1992, IN THE LIFE has earned its reputation for providing accurate and credible information to viewers craving intelligent, provocative stories about the lesbian, gay, bisexual and transgender communities. As a viewer, I have gained valuable insight about the communities' struggles, and come to have a better understanding of how they impact our society.

 

I am confident that many of your other viewers would appreciate and be excited by IN THE LIFE finding a permanent position in your station's programming schedule. But more to the point, it would affirm your station's commitment to reflect the diversity of its viewing audience.
